If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is

Einfache Sprichwörter verlieren ihre Gültigkeit auch in der modernen Welt nicht. So machte ich mich, rein interessehalber natürlich, auf die Suche nach Preisen für gebrauchte Nikon D3’s. Ein Angebot auf adoos.ch welches sehr verlockend war. Nun ja entweder gestohlen oder man wird aufs Ohr gelegt. Welches der beiden es wohl war…

Jedenfalls bekundete ich per E-Mail mein Interesse und bekam auch rasch Antwort. Das Angebot sei immer noch aktuell, die Kamera mit der Verkäuferin aber im Moment in Spanien. Die Verkäuferin würde die Ware aber natürlich auf ihre Kosten in die Schweiz schicken. in 3-4 Arbeitstagen wäre die Kamera bei mir und ich könnte entscheiden ob ich das Angebot annehmen will, oder die Kamera zurückschicke. Ja was sogar ohne Vorauskasse? Zu gut um wahr zu sein oder?

Per nochmaligem E-Mail also nach den Details gefragt und folgendes erhalten:

1. You’ll have to send me your full name and address where I have to send the camera (your shipping address):

2. After I receive your information, I’ll send the camera . You will receive in 3-4 days.
      You will receive from the shipping company, the scanned invoices (with the payment and delivery information) and tracking number of the delivery, so you can track the package online.
3. After you will check and see that everything is ok, you have to send the money (2,000 CHF) to a bank account of the transport company.
4. After they will verify the payment information from you, they will deliver the package.
     You have 3 days to test the camera , and decide if you want to keep it or not. If you decide to keep the camera , I will receive the money from them.
     In case you decide not to keep the camera , the agent will give your money back and will pick up the camera from you.
(But I am sure that you keep the camera , because it’s in perfect condition, like new. You’ll see!)
      I think that this is safe for both of us.
      I am ready to start the transaction, if you agree with those conditions.
      As soon as I receive your address I will send the camera .

Aha. Hier ist also die Betrugsmöglichkeit doch noch aufgetaucht. Ein Transportunternehmen übernimmt die treuhänderische Funktion das Geld aufzubewahren bis beide Parteien mit dem Verkauf einverstanden sind. Das lässt doch aufhorchen. Speziell wenn das von Bianca beschriebene Vorgehen fast 1:1 dem Vorgehen entspricht welches das Internet Crime Complaint Center beschreibt.

Also oberes Sprichwort auch im Internet nicht vergessen und auf Gratis-Kleinanzeigen sind halt mal verdächtig.
